Put Your Advocacy And Awareness To Work

--

In my work, I come across the systems, beliefs and myths that are plaguing our Black youth every day…and yes, even (and especially) in education.

Thankfully, I was built for this!

They call me the Original Disruptor, because I was raised under the principles of Good Disruption. I was raised to question anything that did not honor humanity, which unfortunately means I was questioning a lot! But that questioning turned into a zeal for Black life, and doing whatever I could to protect our humanity.

For me, that job begins in the classroom, and has the potential to reach the boardroom.

As an educator, I never played into the “Black kids are troublemakers” mindset. I simply knew differently, and once upon a time, I was even that wayward kid.

But thank the Creator, I had a praying mother and grandmother.

I had a teacher that refused to believe I was any less capable than any other child my age, no matter my color or upbringing.

And I had a village that kept me uplifted when life threatened to drag me down.

The image is taken from the Internet.

I was any other Black child in the hood. And what I learned from living and learning in my community every day, I turned into the core tenets that I now teach while helping organizations and clients #Disrupt4Good.

If you’re ready to be a true change agent and put your advocacy and awareness to work, I want to talk about how you can do just that.

All young, Black students deserve to have access to a group of allies who could help them grow and affect their communities, for good.

At Disruptive Partners, we’re teaching inclusive, innovative concepts to support the “troublemakers” and disruptors that our educators serve, so they can grow into the thought-leaders of today and tomorrow.

Let me show you how! Schedule your call with me here, and learn how your organization can account for the promise and genius of every child.
